Today we finally got to play on home soil. Our opposition was Washington Athletic Juventus.

The game didn't start great for our side seeing Washington dominate and come at us fast from the first whistle. They created some excellent chances but as a team we defended extremely well keeping them out a number of times. After 10 minutes of play we started to get the ball down and play our game which helped get us in better positions and create chances for the first time during the game so far. In the 11th minute of play Liam done fantastic to beat numerous opposition players and then finally the keeper putting us ahead. Less than 3 minutes later Liam found the net again this time with a tremendous finish from outside of the box.

Washington reacted well to our goals and came back at us instead of giving up which was great to see. We defended well against them as a team and continued to create our own chances. In the 26th minute of play Washington netted their goal seeing us enter the half time break 2-1 up.

The second half was a great battle between the two sides. Both keepers pulled off some tremendous saves and the football around the pitch was just superb from both teams. We managed to hold on to the final whistle and won the game 2-1.
